Jen, I'm assuming you are at an elementary school. Schools (or districts) must set aside a certain portion of federal funds for "Early Intervening" services; this portion must be spent on research-based curriculum, technology or programs that will help improve student performance. Ask your administrator for more information, or perhaps the district office would know. Again, I'm assuming your principal is involved and supportive, so perhaps he/she can help dig up this information as well as other possibilities. Other funding sources include Instructional Technology funds and special education funds (for deaf or hard of hearing - Federal eligibility guidelines have changed to include more hard of hearing students - check your state guidelines). Also, many SES providers offer grant writing assistance, so that's another place to try.
